Our Chat program is called Allied TALK®.
As the name implies, you will be simulating a conversation with your applicants.
The online community is attuned to using Chat, so you won't have to worry about
instructing your customers, we need only worry about making sure you and your
staff know the proper etiquette.
First of all, you will need to set the times your service will be available, then
make sure someone is always around to honor those specified times. If your Chat
is to be online from 9am til 6pm and you leave the office for lunch, you need to
specify that with the schedule. It allows specific hour selection for morning
and separate hour selection for afternoons/evenings, for each day of the week.
You will need to keep a browser window open throughout the day in order to
receive incoming chat 'calls'. A window will pop up when an applicant/customer
is trying to reach you. The window will have the 'handle' of the person
connecting, and their message. This is real-time communication, it will
be just like talking on the phone but you'll be exchanging words via the
keyboard. You will have no more than three windows alive at once, meaning up
to three customers could call in/connect simultaneously. We added the ability
to run three sessions at once for those of you who have more than one loan officer
helping customers. Do NOT close the windows - they will disappear when your customer
leaves.
Additional instructions are noted throughout the program, and you will find it
is suprisingly easy to use. Once your form
is received an administrator in the IS Dept will contact you
and ask you to go on a test-run of Allied TALK, if you wish.
Once you submit this agreement you need to go to the WebWizard
and click a button to activate chat, at which time a button to advertise
it/link to it will appear on your website.
You will need someone available to respond to incoming Chat requests, this
program is much like an incoming phone line and should be treated with as much
respect as you give over the phone.
